The Garlyanda F1 variety was created by Russian scientists from the Research Institute for Breeding Vegetable Crops and the breeding company Gavrish. The variety was included in the State Register in 2010 and has deservedly won the recognition of gardeners. The hybrid is adapted to various climatic conditions. List of regions recommended for growing Garland F1:
- Northern;
- Northwestern;
- Central;
- Volgo-Vyatsky;
- Central Black Earth;
- Middle Volga;
- North Caucasian.
Garland F1 is often confused with the Siberian Garland variety, but these are different varieties. The main difference is the appearance of the fruits: Garland has medium-sized fruits, cylindrical 12-14 cm, while Siberian Garland has small cucumbers only 5-8 cm long. They also differ in the number of ovaries in one node. The Siberian garland has not yet been registered in the State Register.
Garland F1 is a hybrid with bouquet ovaries, watch a very informative video about growing such cucumbers in a greenhouse:

Description of the variety
The Garlyanda F1 variety is characterized by increased growth, weak branching of shoots and bouquet formation of ovaries. 4-5 ovaries are formed in each sinus. Weak branching eliminates frequent pinching.
The ripening time of cucumbers is early - 45-50 days after emergence. The fruits of the hybrid are cylindrical, dark green in color, and medium in size. A characteristic feature of this variety are tubercles with white thorns.
When planted in open ground, it tolerates temperature changes and short-term cold snaps well. In open ground conditions, fruiting occurs 2 weeks later, the yield is 10-12 kg/sq. m.
The taste of the fruit is tender, juicy, crispy, without bitterness, and the appearance corresponds to the photo on the package.The crop is valued for its high yield, universal use and ease of care.

If you want to eat cucumbers from June to autumn, choose “Garland”! I tried so many different varieties, but this one was especially impressive in terms of yield and fruiting time. I fed her as usual, with various organics. Plus BioGrow growth activator. Even the traditional disease for our area - powdery mildew - did not affect this variety.
Features of planting and caring for cucumbers Garland F1
The quantity and quality of the harvest depends on the fulfillment of the conditions for planting a self-pollinating hybrid and caring for it.
Garland F1 is designed for growing in greenhouses; the plant develops well in shade and does not require pollination. Therefore, vegetable growers often grow the variety on balconies and window sills.
- The early harvest is obtained by seedling method, the seeds are sown at the end of April to a depth of 1-2 cm. The seedlings are planted in the greenhouse in late May - early June, when 3-4 leaves are formed on the seedlings.
- It is possible to sow seeds directly into the garden bed, which is carried out in late May - early June. The seeds do not need to be soaked before planting, as they are prepared by the manufacturer for planting and are enclosed in a nutritious, protective shell.
- To obtain a high-quality harvest, the soil must be fertile and fertilized with organic matter. Air temperature – minimum +16° C.
- The scheme for planting a hybrid in a greenhouse is 30 cm x 70 cm.
Scheme of planting cucumbers in a greenhouse
- The hybrid is tall, so Garland F 1 is tied to a trellis.
- Watering should be regular and sufficient. This will allow the plants to yield their harvest together.
- Fertilizing is necessary once every 2 weeks with complex fertilizer, potassium humate. An infusion of wood ash is suitable as an organic fertilizer.
- Greens must be collected regularly, which will increase productivity.
- Forming a plant into 1 stem involves removing all flowers and side shoots that form in the axils of the lower 3-5 leaves. Next, you need to remove all the shoots that grow from the axils and leave the ovaries.

Reviews from gardeners
Margarita, 37 years old, Leningrad region
I like to plant different varieties of cucumbers and tomatoes in the greenhouse to try all the new items and choose the best options. This year I planted the hybrid Garland F1 and am very pleased with it. Beautiful shoots with large dark green leaves, as in the photo, a rich, tasty harvest, strong immunity to diseases and a minimum of care... I recommend it to everyone!

I like to stick to the old, time-tested varieties, but Garland F1 was so praised that I decided to give it a try. And I didn’t regret it! The variety from Russian breeders has grown excellent. After harvesting the harvest and salting it, I can safely say that the hybrid has no shortcomings at all. Unless the fruits need to be collected every day, but this did not bother me at all. I think that soon this variety will become one of the most famous. I recommend!

The early ripening variety “Garland f1” tolerates almost any soil well. Weather conditions don't matter. The main thing is to ensure normal watering and regular feeding. The harvested crop is stored for a long time and can easily withstand transportation.

Advantages: Good germination, a lot of seeds. Discount price is normal. the seeds have already been processed.
Disadvantages: no
All the sown seeds sprouted, I have already planted such cucumbers, and I was pleased with the harvest.

The variety attracted my attention because it is ultra-early. It is written in the description that after 45 days you can already harvest the first harvest. This is very similar to the truth. Now a month has passed since planting and the cucumbers are planning to bloom! Pleasantly surprised.
