How to grow floribunda roses
Representatives of this garden group are distinguished by bushy, compact growth; the height of the bushes varies - from low to vigorous. Some, blooming with double flowers, have a distinctly romantic appearance, others are decorated more modestly with flowers of simple shapes, but they do not lose out at all. With all their external diversity, these roses have two very valuable properties in common: they are distinguished by their unusually abundant flowering and the ability to maintain their magnificent outfits until autumn.
Ground cover roses include varieties with such distinctive features as frost resistance, significant lateral growth, rich long-term flowering, abundant covering of shoots with shiny small leaves, resistance to black spot and powdery mildew - the most common diseases of roses.
Planting and growing park roses
Park roses - this name is firmly attached to cultivated rose hips - their species, forms and varieties. There are several independent groups of park roses: rose hips, among which is the famous wrinkled rose, antique garden (park) roses, as well as modern breeding hybrids of park roses.
Breeders have achieved excellent results, and modern hybrids of park roses are no less spectacular than polyanthus or floribunda, they grow well, are easy to care for and are strewn with fragrant flowers of varying degrees of terry for 1.5-2 months. In terms of the richness of their color range, they have long been close to hybrid teas, but growing them is much easier.
Rules for growing home roses
An indoor rose in a flower pot is the dream of many house plant lovers. The delicate aroma of flowers and the grace of the branches will not leave anyone indifferent. But these flowers are considered to be very difficult to grow.
How difficult is it to care for a miniature house rose? It is no more difficult than caring for an ordinary garden one, if you provide it with the same conditions. This is not a tropical plant or a desert flower; it requires a temperate climate, cool wintering.
Caring for indoor roses varies depending on the season. As in natural conditions, it requires a cold winter. Too high a temperature in summer is also harmful. In the warm season, these plants are recommended to be taken out into the open air.
Learning to grow roses from cuttings
There are two ways to grow roses on your own property: grafting or cuttings. The easiest way is propagation by cuttings. It is better to carry it out in April-May or June-July, when the buds of the mother bushes are colored. In addition, in the fall, when pruning plants for the winter, you can also take cuttings from roses.
It is worth saying a few words about the advantages of this method of propagation over grafting. Plants obtained with its help do not form root shoots, which greatly simplifies care. In the southern regions they winter better, but even when the above-ground parts freeze, they are restored from dormant buds on the roots. The ease of obtaining planting material should also be taken into account. After all, even roses from a bouquet can be propagated in this way.
Another big advantage of this method of propagation is that self-rooted plants are much more durable than grafted ones.
And among the shortcomings, there is perhaps only one: in the first winter, rooted cuttings do not overwinter well. This happens because in one summer the cutting does not have time to grow a sufficiently powerful root system. Therefore, it is better for the plants to overwinter the first winter in the cellar.
How to properly cover roses for the winter
How to make covering roses in winter simple, cheap and, most importantly, reliable? First of all, we need to clearly understand what this shelter should protect our roses from. And it should protect not only from winter cold, but also from excessive humidity.
After all, getting wet and dampening roses in winter occurs almost more often than freezing. I think many people are familiar with the situation when the winter seemed to be warm, but the plants did not survive the winter. It was not frost that killed them, but dampness.

However, this is the best decoration for the garden: the peculiarity of this variety lies in the arrangement of flowers. They grow on a shoot not singly, but as a whole inflorescence (several dozen flowers). Floribunda is easy to care for. Therefore, floribunda rose is often grown to decorate parks and gardens, especially in group compositions.
The floribunda variety includes roses that have large inflorescences and an almost continuous flowering period. They are most similar to hybrid teas both in flower shape and range of colors.
