To protect the garden from diseases and pests, gardeners are increasingly using biological products instead of chemicals. These modern means of protection are harmless to people and quite effective.
Biological products for pest control
The following remedies can be successfully used against pests of garden plants:
- Lepidocide (for protection against gooseberry moth, leaf rollers, moths, sawflies, codling moth, moths).
- Bitoxibacillin effective against all listed pests, as well as against spider mite (including currants), leaf gall midges, hawthorn.
- Fitoverm reduces the number of fruit mites, caterpillars of apple and pear moths, leaf rollers, moths.
- Akarin, spark used to combat mites on currants, leaf rollers, and sawflies. Pests die 2 hours after treatment. The drugs are effective for three weeks.
Biological products for the treatment of diseases
The following are used as fungicides (to protect against diseases):
- Fitosporin M - against the American powdery mildew and black currant septoria.
- Apples taken from trees are processed before storage phytosporin for the prevention of rot.
- Gamair effective against apple scab and moniliosis in the pink bud phase and after flowering, when the fruits reach the size of a hazelnut.
- To protect strawberries from gray rot in the first two days after infection, use planriz. It also reduces storage losses if you spray the crowns with it a day before harvesting.
When using biological products, you need to take into account their characteristics. At temperatures below 13 degrees they not effective. 13 to 17 degrees should be used maximum from the specified consumption rates, at 24-32 degrees - minimum. The effectiveness of biological products increases at a temperature of 28-35 degrees.
To prepare the working solution, the biological product powder is stirred in a small amount of water (its temperature is not higher than 20 degrees) until it becomes creamy. Then add water to the required volume. The prepared solution is used within one day.
